Privet Pashochka!. Thank you very much for your reply to my e-mail and for your very warm and gracious post also. I hope you will be happy in your new 'digs'. The region that you live in now is one of the most beautiful in the USA and so very close to the entertainment industry for you. Take a trip to Santa Barbara (if you haven't already) one day and Carmel/Monticel o area also. To answer your query. Nyet!. I do not speak Russian (more's the pity)all I know is 'spasibo' and 'dos vidanya' (?). At high school I took five years of French and Latin and in the mid 1970's was based in Germany (Bielefeld)for three years, so I know 'eine kleine Deutsche', (some phrases of which are inappropriate for your message board!). I can let you know today that (as much as I would like to) due to pressure of business I will not make the trip to Germany to see you this time around but hope to meet you one day very soon!. Dear Pasha, For many years now, my family & I have been wondering about your family history. You bear a strong resemblance to my Father's side of the family who were originally from Ukraine. He had a brother who remained there when my Grandparents moved to Canada. Although I don't have the correct spelling at this time, my maiden name is GRESCHUK. Do you know if you have any relatives in Canada that have settled in Saskatchewan? When my Grandmother was still alive she used to get letters from relatives. Since her death, we have not been able to find them to search for any family members in Ukraine. From watching you skate over the years, we all came to the conclusion you could be "one of us". Privynet Pashochka (am I even close to being correct?). Anyway I saw Champions on Ice last week with the new 'tag' team of Usova & Platov. From what I know of the shennanigans of both of them they make me sick. I feel, that it is long past due that you 'Pasha' expose their hypocrosy for what it is - a complete fraud, made up by some PR clown. They say that men are from Mars and women are from Venus, so don't expect 'mush' from me. I will tell you as I feel it is, pragmatic; hopefully, helpful possibly. You have made the correct decis on to skate solo (now you answer ONLY to yourself!) Your future is in your own hands. Que sera, sera. Live life dangerously (Life will be over sooner than we all think) go for IT) you have nothing to lose - you have, after all, accomplished more -in skat ng than all other figure skating ladies in the World-; have fun , and continue to do whatevetr YOU want to do, and I ;for one will always cherish the sight of you on the ice, doing what God meant for you to do . I had the most wonderful experience yestersay, I spent 3 hours skating with Pasha, she is a wonderful person and very talented. She choregraphed 4 new moves in my program and also skated for me, she will be a wonderful single skater. I wanted to tell this story because I think it is rare that a 2 time olympic champion, would take time to meet and work with an adult skater, who skates because she loves the sport. You do hear lots of atheles granting wishes on dying children but rarely do you see skating stars granting dreams of the normal average working adult. Well I met Pasha, we had such a great time. She is the greatest. We spent time on my program and I watched her jump and spin. She will be a great single skater. She does everything with such flare. She will also be a great coach one day, she explains everything so well. She taught me at least 3 moves that I am putting in my program for ISI worlds. No stories to tell: I did not get to see Pasha. I skated at my rink and left to go meet her and I had a flat tire,by time I got a ride it was 10:45AM, the rink said she was not there, so I had to leave to fix my tire. I sure hope I got the time and place right. Hopefully I will get another chance and tell you about it. For those of you who are fans, I did get to see Ilia Kulik at my rink today, In the parking lot. He is a great guy and fun to watch.

Dearest Pasha, You are amazing!.I only e-mailed you the other day and you have replied already. I understand a little of what you are going through. Some years ago (due to a bad investment) I lost a lot of money. You sure can tell who your REAL friends are, after that!. Real friends want you for what's inside, not for the exterior because that and personal circumstances will always change. I'd like to say to you (if you don't mind) that being an immigrant to this country myself (16 years) that you need to play 'the game' the way that the Americans play to succeed and survive, although sometimes it's a little unsavoury. In this country what you say is more important than what you do.You MUST stay in the public eye, memories of the majority are very short, therefore a good Public Relations person, as well as a manager are an essential part of 'the game'. You need to be SEEN at (parties/events/shows/wherever!), HEARD on T.V. (Jay Leno in L.A.) PHOTOGRAPHED (People Mag./Attending Awards-Emmy's,Oscars etc.) and on the arm of some 'Rent-a-Hunk' or Someone WELL-KNOWN to the Press in L.A., at the 'in-spots', (S ago's, Sky-Bar {NOT Dennis rodman!} etc.). You really have to fight 'Fire-with-Fire'. In the U.S.A. they will USE you in a heartbeat then drop you like a hot tamale! - so do the same, USE THEM!. Write down your goals, meet INFLUENTIAL people in the business (as many as possible), either by introdu tion or by doing some of the above, (going to V.I.P. parties,shows,etc.). Then COPY the methods and ways of those who are being SUCCESSFUL,then work hard and you will get there. That's the American way AND the American dream!. I witnessed Pasha's first performance on 90210. I was at the filming of the show that took place on Monday, the 1. of March. Charlene Wong and Scott Williams were also there. Let me just say that Pasha shined and really looked in her elements. She was re lly happy to be on the ice again. Pasha had 5 lines with Vanessa. She was Pasha's competitor in this show. Pasha's strides are extremely powerful and the twizzles look really great solo. She also surpassingly had some pretty good spins. The music was Frozen. Her artistry was perfect. I've been meaning to ask you, do you prefer being called Pasha or Oksana? I've got a small question for ya, my best friend from college is getting married at the end of the month and I have no idea what to get him and his fiance for a wedding gift. Normally I'd call up my friend and ask his fiance for a suggestion in this situation, but since it's for them, I don't think that's appropriate, any ideas? Since you said you liked my emails, here are some of the more interesting occurances in my life lately. I did great with normal mail today. I got my ticket to the Boston charity Premier of Star Wars: Episode I, The Phantom Menace in the mail today, I can't wait to go see it sunday! I hope you can find time in your schedule to see the movie at some point. I also got my complimentary copy of Windows 98 Second Edition from Microsoft, but I actually don't plan on installing it any time soon, I've kinda run out of computers especially since I had to fix one of them that wasn't working earlier this week. The bad news of the day was that my golf club (my 5-iron) isn't back from being fixed yet, guess next time I need to pay more attention to Palm trees, it should be in tommarrow. How I broke it is really funny. I was hitting my ball up onto the green and so I threw my club toward the golf cart and as soon as I let it go, I knew it was going to hit the tree, and well it broke in half. It was a pretty interesting 18 holes of golf, I was playing a PGA Level (Professional Level) course with only 2 clubs. I didn't want to luge my whole bag through half a dozen airports since I wasn't flying directly back from Orlando and I wasn't sure that I'd get to play at all. So I only brought my 5-iron and my putter. Lucky for me, one of the guys in the group had a left handed 9-iron for odd shots that I could barrow, so I was able to finish the last 2 holes. The whole thing was pretty funny, have you ever seen the movie 'Caddy Shack'? If you have, when I was in the pro shop before the round, it was kinda like scene from it where Rodney Dangerfield is in the pro shop. I had a good time. Oh well, I've wasted enough of your time. good luck, it looks like your doing great skating singles, let me know when things are finalized when you're going to be skating.
